The exhibition “Reactivating Videographies” offers a virtual tour through a selection of audiovisual works by almost 70 artists from 15 countries, among which we can find the works of Equatorial Guinean creators: Daniel Assedu Mobajale (Appearances), Juan Agustín Nve (Environmental contamination ) and Daniel Nsue Asumu (Talking Sensations), curated by the filmmaker and audiovisual producer Pedro Mbá and summoned by the Cultural Centers of Spain in Bata and Malabo.
The project, which is part of the VENTANA Program of the AECID Network of Cultural Centers of Spain, in collaboration with the Academy of Spain in Rome, was presented on the occasion of the Biennial of Moving Image of Buenos Aires.
Its careful selection of audiovisual works allows you to see the work of about 70 artists (curated by about twenty international curators) from Santo Domingo, Mexico City, Guatemala City, Tegucigalpa, San Salvador, San José de Costa Rica, Managua, Panama , Lima, Santiago de Chile, Córdoba (Argentina), Rosario, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Asunción, La Paz, Bata, Malabo, Roma and Madrid.
This project also offers Equatorial Guinean artists for the first time stays for artistic residency at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome, where they will have the opportunity to participate in the Italian capital in a series of meetings with professionals from the Italian audiovisual sector. and with the possibility of actively participating in the various programmed activities.
